WE ARE COMMUNITY BUILDERS
Being an excellent construction partner starts with becoming an invested community partner. Swinerton’s commitment to the communities we serve goes beyond the projects we construct. We actively support nonprofit partners through skills-based volunteering, event sponsorship, and community-based programs. By investing both dollars and volunteer hours into the neighborhoods we serve, we foster safety and prosperity for future generations; and through a combination of quality, sustainable, innovative, and community-minded construction, we are redefining what it means to be a community builder.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION
Swinerton is proud to help foster interest and awareness in construction careers and build a pipeline of skilled workers in the industry through our partnership with a variety of education organizations. Each year, Swinerton participates in construction career fairs and education events across the country to attract youth to the industry. Our partnerships with organizations such as ACE Mentor and the Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) allow us to raise awareness of the industry and support young students’ ambitions to pursue careers in construction.
CONSTRUCTION WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Swinerton supports a network of nonprofits committed to workforce development to build a skilled workforce. In partnership with The Swinerton Foundation, we support SkillsUSA carpentry programs in high schools across the United States. We teach students about construction trades through trainings, mentorship, and competition support. Every year, Swinerton employees spend thousands of hours teaching hands-on skills and sharing their career experiences with students. Swinerton is committed to hiring graduates of the SkillsUSA program, averaging five new hires per year.

RESILIENT COMMUNITIES
We invest our time and resources in nonprofits, like Rebuilding Together and DignityMoves, which are dedicated to helping communities overcome challenges and build long-term resilience. For over 20 years, Swinerton has been an avid supporter of Rebuilding Together’s nationwide efforts to secure affordable homeownership and housing stability for seniors, low-income community members, and veterans. Teams from across the nation participate in National Rebuilding Day where collectively we log hundreds of hours building and revitalizing our communities.
LOCAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT
We believe in building lasting relationships with our community partners, grounded in fairness, commitment, and sincerity. We are dedicated to supporting local nonprofits that address the unique needs of each market we serve. Each year, Swinerton hosts the Fall Giving Challenge, a companywide competition where teams across the nation rally together to support local nonprofits. From assembling “love boxes” for foster children in Texas to preparing meals for the homeless in Atlanta, employees embrace a diverse range of volunteer opportunities. The challenge sparks a wave of employee engagement with over 1,000 employees participating each year.

THE SWINERTON FOUNDATION
Swinerton supports The Swinerton Foundation, which develops the construction workforce of the future by being a catalyst for collective action to expand the accessibility of construction education. Through targeted programs that raise awareness of the industry and teach workforce skills to students, the Foundation helps individuals achieve greater opportunities to thrive. Swinerton is a key contributor to the Foundation and a valued business partner, offering opportunities to graduates of Foundation-sponsored programs and encouraging employees to volunteer for Foundation activities and events.
