Business Resource Groups
Our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) foster a strong sense of community, enhance employee experience, and contribute significantly to Swinerton’s overall inclusion efforts. Open to all employees, our BRGs are formed organically, driven by the passions and initiative of our people. They are spaces of connection, support, and professional development.
Building Greater Economic Inclusion
We provide equal opportunities for all businesses to participate and grow, including small, local, and diverse businesses within the communities of our projects. We invest in the community and local economy through the success of our trade partners. For instance, our Prep for Success program supports all businesses interested in working with Swinerton by providing technical assistance and education to help ensure their likelihood of success. As a company, Swinerton strives to award at least 20% of its subcontracting and supplier volume to small, local, and diverse businesses, regardless of project requirements.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Swinerton is a founding member of the Construction & Engineering Engagement Roundtable (CEER, formerly DICE). CEER is an alliance of organizations and companies dedicated to moving the construction and engineering industry forward by fostering peer collaboration, raising awareness of workforce issues, and promoting a more informed, connected, and engaged construction industry.
Every year since 2020, we have taken the Associated General Contractors of America’s?Culture of CARE?pledge. With this pledge, we take action to ensure that every employee-owner is valued, respected, and heard and has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We retain high-performing employees by identifying and removing barriers to advancement and we empower every individual to promote a welcoming and diverse corporate culture.
In collaboration with other general contractors and trade partners, Swinerton is a sponsor of?Construction Inclusion Week, an annual initiative that provides an opportunity for us to reflect on our progress, celebrate our achievements, and recommit to creating a more inclusive workplace.
Business Resource Groups
Swinerton currently has seven Business Resource Groups (BRGs), including the Asian American and Pacific Islander BRG, Black Community BRG, Latino Community BRG, PRIDE BRG, Veterans BRG, Women’s BRG, and the Working Parents BRG.
