Swinerton provided general contracting services for the construction of a cast-in-place concrete, 14-story, Courtyard?by Marriott hotel with one subterranean level in the Historic?Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown San Diego. The scope of work included 90 guestrooms, fitness room, home theater, media?areas, below-grade parking, roof deck bar/restaurant and eco-roof. Swinerton was responsible for the design-build services?of the structural concrete, elevators and MEP/FS systems and was part of the project since the schematic/concept phase?of the design. Design services provided during preconstruction?include constructability reviews, value engineering, permit?processing, cost estimating, and scheduling.
